Note: I’m reposting this note from Facebook, dated January 26, 2009. #fb

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.

(To do this, go to β€œnotes” under tabs on your profile page, paste these instructions in the body of the note, type your 25 random things, tag 25 people (in the right hand corner of the app) then click publish.)

  1. I get embarrassed for tv characters (like Larry David in Curb Your Enthusiasm and Michael Scott in The Office) and have to pause the shows repeatedly until the embarrassment wears off.

  2. The first football team I rooted for was the Arizona Wildcats. Oh geez, I just vomited in my mouth.

  3. I would love to sell most of my possessions, buy an RV, and travel the US for a year or more.

  4. My RSS reader subscriptions focus around four main themes: technology & social media, personal productivity & lifehacking, travel, and football.

  5. I read the newspaper far less frequently than I probably should.

  6. I’ve missed only one regular season ASU football home game since 1987. Despite being a big fan, I’ve never attended Camp Tontozona but have been to a bunch of bowl games and try to attend a few practices each spring and fall.

  7. I have no piercings, no tattoos, and rarely wear jewelry. To Kim’s dismay, that includes my wedding ring.

  8. I refuse to clean the cat box or pet vomit, and have no idea how I’ll change diapers.

  9. I nearly had a career in law enforcement and even received a national scholarship from the (then) Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

  10. I’ve bought the newest football video game every year since I was 15. I wonder how many hours I’ve wasted over the years.

  11. I eat a salad nearly daily, less for the taste of lettuce or other greens and more for its use as a conduit for Italian salad dressing. I sometimes steal a swig of said salad dressing from the fridge.

  12. I am a big insomniac, but can usually find ways of keeping myself busy and/or entertained when I can’t sleep.

  13. I ditched virtually all of my friends in junior high when they started getting too mixed up with drugs. It’s one of the toughest things I’ve done in life, but also one of the things I’m most proud of.

  14. I refuse to drive in the snow. The three times I’ve had to, I’ve nearly killed us. Thank goodness I live in Phoenix.

  15. Despite going to a religious school and attending Sunday school and church often as a kid, I never really believed in God or religion. Ditto for superstitions.

  16. I’m on a quest to simplify my life. That includes eliminating clutter, focusing on the things I care about in life, reducing the amount of time “chores” take, and otherwise making life easier.

  17. I have serious trouble just relaxing and “doing nothing.” Beach vacations or spa days are not for me. I don’t have patience to meditate.

  18. I don’t read books anymore. Instead, I’m reduced to listening to them while I drive.

  19. I helped build a political blog that at one time ranked as the 4th most popular on the web (as measured by Technorati.com). Unfortunately, I got burned out and gave it up before I made any money or celebrity off of it.

  20. I’ve always liked productivity tools. I started working at Staples back in high school because I loved DayRunners. I was an early adopter of the PalmPilot and have owned and actively used a PDA or iPhone for about a decade.

  21. Although I played many organized sports as a kid, I never played tackle football. I consider this one of my biggest regrets.

  22. I’ve never kept a journal or diary, but that doesn’t mean I’m not introspective.

  23. I spend far too much time in front of computer screens, but still really love it.

  24. I am horribly inflexible - at least in a physiological way. Even when I was a kid and very active in sports, I could hardly touch my toes. Now that I’m much fatter and generally out of shape, it’s even harder.

  25. I absolutely despise stupid get-to-know-your-friends-better lists like this and can’t believe I actually wasted my time doing this, and worse yet, will tag others and drag them into this endless abyss. I think I’ll only tag a dozen or so.
