An attack on our national monuments is an attack on all of Americaâs parks, public lands, and oceans. President Trump is taking the unpopular step of requesting a review of past national monument designations with an eye towards rescinding or weakening important protectionsâputting some of Americaâs most treasured public lands at risk. These national monuments are federal public lands; they don’t belong to one state, we all own them collectively and should all get a say in their protection.
