Two weeks ago, I drove from Phoenix to Montana to see this vista at Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area. It was an “orphaned” national park unit that I needed to mark off in my quest to visit all 417. Of course, I also visited Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Dinosaur, and Arches while I was passing by. But the point of the trip was to mark off Bighorn Canyon, my 375th national park.
Quests are an excellent way to inspire more travel. I just published a comprehensive guide to selecting, adopting, and successfully completing a personal travel quest. Link in bio!
