The last long solo road trip I did was back in 2016 when I visited #100Parksin100Days to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our National Parks. During that trip, I made sure to include a local craft brewery nearly every day (not sure if Yuengling is considered local craft anymore, but the tour there was great). Those stops gave me a chance to take a break from driving, plan out where I was going to sleep that night, and sketch out the next day’s itinerary.
While my upcoming trip is similarly designed, I’ll likely be spending many fewer days at craft breweries—mostly because there aren’t many along my (rather rural) route. Bummer.
