I got into minimalism in my 30s and purged half my stuff. But I now see it as a useful, but insufficient, frame for consumer purchases. Less stuff isn’t inherently betterβ€”at least not for the life I want to live. Here’s an example from my life that was anti-minimalism, but made my life better.
