I successfully convinced my friend to bring her family to the World’s Largest Ball of Twine in Kansas and it made my day.
Another post that’s suddenly popular each summer is my guide to Travel Camping: how to fly and camp in a rental car. We’ve changed out a lot of the gear we bring when doing this, so it’s due for a big upgrade.
Every summer, this guide to how to make ice last longer in your cooler is one of my most visited posts. We’ve upgraded a few things since I wrote this in 2017, but the general principles all remain the same.

Today’s entry for #Junited2024 is @robertbreen’s poignant post celebrating three years of sobriety—congrats, Robert! His line about how alcohol is the only drug you have to explain not using reminded me of how I often felt as a nondrinker in my 20-30s.
