Stopped by Springfield Armory NHS, one of the nation’s two national armories. It developed and made rifles for the US military from the late 1700s until 1968. t.co/Z6p0KbEzX…

Also did a quick stop to Lowell NHP, which tells the story of the first factory city, making bolts of cloth. It was also the first canal-based city. Unfortunately there was a police incident outside so what was going to be a short visit got shorter 🤷♀️ -J t.co/u20CN81A7… 
Once we got back to Maine, we stopped by to see Saint Croix Island, where the French attempted a permanent settlement. Didn’t work, but they learned valuable lessons that they used to settle Nova Scotia. t.co/J7GQjQmWc…

We’re back in the US after five days of tooting around the Maritime provinces.
I think we’ve adopted two new quests on this trip: a national park in every province, and a brewery in every province. #goquesting
One of our favorite breweries so far this trip! This one was located right near the entrance to Fundy National Park and had a whale + church theme. We enjoyed the whole flight, but this “Taste the Rain, Bro” skittles sour inspired both a follow up pint and a crowler for later. t.co/8gr3CFnTs… 
But it means that we’ve spent A LOT of the trip thinking about the house, and what we need to do to make this a long-term success. So it’s been less of a “vacation” as we may have liked.
So far, the big highlight of the trip was when the seller agreed to install a new roof. 😂

So we’ve spent all but one day of the trip dealing with house stuff—reviewing sewer line inspection video (on Jen’s bday no less 😂), submitting paperwork for the mortgage, etc
