@flyinpenguin On this trip, yes—but we’ve both done those three individually.

Scott’s map is in blue, Jen’s is purple. The other colors are “new” counties we’ll be hitting on trips later this summer -S t.co/ZjaITl3WG…

Here is our updated map of all the counties we have visited together.

Each color represents a different year and we fill in a county with the year of the first time we visited the county together.

Purple is 2022, so far just this trip! t.co/MaRNwt6gh…

Hotel beer as we repack all our gear—gah, we didn’t even camp once given the constant rain—before our early flight home tomorrow.

More pics to be posted as we get a chance. -S t.co/z21HiDuOB…

Scott endured the holiday weekend crowds and hiked the famed Flume Gorge trail in Franconia Notch State Park (NH). t.co/SvYsA3MUU…

Our favorite breweries of the trip:

The Cornish-Windsor is a covered bridge spanning 2 states. It’s the longest woodsmen bridge in the US and the longest 2-span covered bridge in the World. - J t.co/DRJxFApmZ…

A visit to Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller NHP. Three families of public lands stewardship. -J t.co/qpCtagGAb…

Stopped by Springfield Armory NHS, one of the nation’s two national armories. It developed and made rifles for the US military from the late 1700s until 1968. t.co/Z6p0KbEzX…

Stopped at two excellent breweries: Maine Beer Co. and Treehouse Brewing. Highly recommend. #Lostneededdirections t.co/fdqvGRHsz…

Also did a quick stop to Lowell NHP, which tells the story of the first factory city, making bolts of cloth. It was also the first canal-based city. Unfortunately there was a police incident outside so what was going to be a short visit got shorter 🤷‍♀️ -J t.co/u20CN81A7…

Once we got back to Maine, we stopped by to see Saint Croix Island, where the French attempted a permanent settlement. Didn’t work, but they learned valuable lessons that they used to settle Nova Scotia. t.co/J7GQjQmWc…

We’re back in the US after five days of tooting around the Maritime provinces.

I think we’ve adopted two new quests on this trip: a national park in every province, and a brewery in every province. #goquesting

One of our favorite breweries so far this trip! This one was located right near the entrance to Fundy National Park and had a whale + church theme. We enjoyed the whole flight, but this “Taste the Rain, Bro” skittles sour inspired both a follow up pint and a crowler for later. t.co/8gr3CFnTs…

But it means that we’ve spent A LOT of the trip thinking about the house, and what we need to do to make this a long-term success. So it’s been less of a “vacation” as we may have liked.

So far, the big highlight of the trip was when the seller agreed to install a new roof. 😂

We have a quest to visit an Irish Pub in 32 countries (to represent the 32 counties in Ireland). Canada was number 4. -J. #LostNeededDirections #GoQuesting t.co/n6KmXIKYh…
