Salvation Mountain was made famous by its inclusion in the movie “Into the Wild.” If you’re near the Salton Sea, take a few minutes detour to check it out, then drive a bit further to the infamous Slab City.

Wish I was back in Hawaii right now, taking a dunk in the Pools of ʻOheʻo. Unfortunately, the pools are closed indefinitely after rockslides in January, just days after I took this photo.

Arizona is full of weird, nearly unworldly landscapes. And I love them all.

Sipapu Natural Bridge is my favorite at Natural Bridges National Monument in southern Utah.

I’m looking forward to this weekend’s full moon kayak trip down the Salt River. It’s fun watching the sun set and the full moon rise as you paddleβ€”sans headlampsβ€”down the river, just the glow of the moon and some glowsticks lighting your way.
