Just spent 10+ mins cleaning away the trail dust & grime from my license plate so I could update my registration sticker. #winning #subielove

Finally made it to Rosson House in Phoenix. Glad the city was able to save this entire block of original Phoenix houses!

Bacon popcorn. Popcorn popped in bacon fat, dusted with bacon dust, then tossed in with some bacon pieces. Muy bueno.

First macro shot off my new Olympus TG-4. Looks like their “microscope” function is no joke. Can’t wait to bring this snorkeling in Hawaii next weekend!

Made a quick stop at Tonto National Monument this weekend… #findyourpark

Afternoon stop at Arizona Wilderness.

Stopped by to see TravelSparky at the game last night.

With today’s designation of Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, I’ve now been to 364 of the 413 national park units! Huzzah!

Stopped by Grand Falls this weekend; always great to see after a rainstorm. #whyaz #arizona

Awkward smile at the Toadstools. #grandstaircase #publiclands #latergram #hike #utah

When you live in Phoenix, you drop everything to watch the summer monsoon roll through. #monsoon #phoenix

Tyuonyi Ruin, Bandalier National Monument, New Mexico. #FindYourPark

I think Santa Fe Brewing became my favorite #NewMexico #brewery this weekend.

Really wanted to grab a drink here as we passed by, but they looked closed. We pulled into the parking lot and another car pulled closed to the window. A guy dunks out, looks around, then pounds on the window. Sure enough, a lady slides it open and takes an order. We gleefully decide that we must get a drink from this here bar, and proceed to properly park in the empty gravel lot. Walking up to the door, the lady leans out and yells “window only!” Apparently, it was a shitshow in there the previous night and she wasn’t able (willing?) to open up the actual bar.

Did I mention that I’ve now visited 363 national park units? I’m now less than 50 away from completing the national parks quest.

The first atomic weapon was developed in the parking lot in this photo, and loaded for delivery at the site of this memorial.
